Saturday, July 16, 2022 –Deputy President William Ruto now says he will handle Azimio leader Raila Odinga differently from how his boss Uhuru Kenyatta handled him(Raila) when elections were announced by Wafula Chebukati in 2017.
William Ruto today categorically said he will not allow Mr. Odinga to cause chaos in the country after elections are announced.
The DP who was addressing supporters at Banana in Kiambu County on Saturday July 15, said further that he is not Uhuru Kenyatta to condone the usual ‘nonsense’ from Mr. Odinga.
“You heard the President say that Raila wanted to cause problems. I am telling him that I am not Uhuru. I will not entertain you,” he stated.
The second in command added that Raila who in 2017 swore in himself at Uhuru Park will this time around not be allowed to try going the same route.
“This time, I will not allow you to swear yourself in, there will be no throwing of stones, there will no be demonstrations nor tibim or tialala,” he added.
Ruto, nonetheless, showed optimism of winning the election so that to send the Azimio flagbearer home in Bondo Village once and for all.
