Sunday, February 20, 2022 –Democratic Party of Kenya DP-Kenya new party leader Justin Muturi will not enter into any pre-election pact with any coalition.
He slammed political coalitions in the country terming them as another fraud which are formed on a quicksand.
Speaking at their Delegates conference held in Nairobi’s Bomas of Kenya on Sunday February 20, Speaker Muturi revealed that he had been approached to join either of the two 2022 horses – Kenya Kwanza or Azimio la Umoja but this he was not ready to do.
“I will stand for what is right and not what will give me political mileage. It is wrong to just come together with the purposes of winning power,” he charged.
Muturi added that the past political coalitions formed to win elections had failed terribly at the expense of development and peace of the country.
He also took issue with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s move to join forces with opposition leaders in running government affairs. He reminded the country of a similar scenario in Butwana which never saw the light of the day.

It was also resolved that Muturi will run for presidency in the August 9th polls.
