Sunday, September 15, 2024 –Majority Leader in the National Assembly also Kikuyu Member of Parliament Kimani Ichung’wah has urged President William Ruto to make a decision and cut ranks with his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.
Ichung’wah indicated how President Ruto had gone through a lot throughout his political life just like how the Biblical Paul also suffered.
“President William Ruto has gone through a lot and still going through a lot just like it is written in the Book of Acts 3: 28 about Paul when the ship wrecked,” he remarked.
He further likened the economy of this country to a wrecking ship and when it(economy) was getting back to its feet, in an indirect reference to the ongoing rift between Ruto and DP Gachagua, some insiders came to interfere with the exercise.
“President got an economy which was wrecking and just as it was about to now settle down and start warming Kenyans, a snake came on his hand. But I want to ask the president, you have been called a lot of names including Zakayo but get us to the shores, safely,” Ichung’wah added.
The politician pointed out how some individuals within the government are derailing the president’s plan and agenda to deliver the country.
“Recently, we have people in your team with cunning plans asking others to go and fight wives. They have called us and you that we are the ‘backing dogs and hyenas’.
“Despite everything you are told, get this country to the shores safely. If you trust in God we will deliver this nation. Do not be afraid. Shake off the snake. The viper in your government please shake it off not for your own sake but so that you do what the Lord brought you to do for this country,” the Kikuyu MP noted further.
On his part, Ruto steered clear of any political undertones and controversy by asking the country to remain united and focused.
They were addressing this mater today Sunday September 15 at the African Independent Pentecostal Church of Africa (AIPCA), Central West Archdiocese in Nyeri County. The service was presided over by Bishop Njeriri.
