United Democratic Alliance Majority leader Kimani Ichung’wah under fire after the High Court declared Kenya Kwanza not the Majority Party.
The court faulted Speaker Moses Wetang’ula for violating the Constitution of Kenya when he announced this post.
According to the Court ruling today, Azimio la Umoja Coalition holds majority in Parliament, hence quashing speaker’s decision as misleading and mischievous.
On the same note, the High Court ruled that Speaker Wetang’ula cannot be the Ford Kenya’s party leader while at the same time serving as National Assembly speaker.
The court stated that, for impartiality to thrive in Parliament or any public office, there was need for the appointed persons to relinguish party matters.
These changes coming at a time President William Ruto and Azimio leader Raila Odinga have reunited ahead of 2027 political duel.
