Tuesday, March 28, 2023 –There was a heated exchange on Citizen Tv’s 9PM bulletin between Wahiga Mwaura and Majority leader, Kimani Ichung’wah.
Wahiga had sought to know if there was any relationship between the ugly invasion on Kenyatta Northlands Estate in Ruiru and the inciting statement he(Ichung’wah) delivered on the Kenyatta family’s properties, recently.
And as Ichung’wah was trying to express himself, Wahiga thought that was a diversionary way of responding to his honest question.
MP Kimani would quickly get angrier and threatened to walk away from the interview should he not be given time to explain himself on the raised matters.
“I will walk out if you don’t allow me to speak. You say government sponsored goons on your live bulletin. What proof do you have that we sponsored anything?
“Allow me to answer your questions Wahiga. Do not put words into my mouth please. I know this is my last show,” he charged against his host.
The Majority leader would then explain that his inflammatory statement was taken advantage of by locals who have their own issues with the Kenyatta family.
He argued that anything he says in public comes from the ground because that is where he spends most of his time.
“Mine was a cautionary statement and people took advantage of my cautionary statement to loot the farm,” he added.
The Kikuyu lawmaker also said that the police swung into action in time to save both Kenyatta’s Northlands Farm as well as Raila’s EA Spectre gas company basedin Industrial area.
Present on the show was also Vihiga County Senator, Godfrey Osotsi.
