If you have a problem with your boss walk away, Raila to Ruto

War of words between ODM Party leader Raila Amollo Odinga and Deputy President William Ruto continued to play out in public on Saturday October 10.

Speaking miles away in Luo Nyanza, ODM boss took on DP Ruto asking him to respect millions of Kenyans and give room for a new Deputy President if life in Jubilee administration had become too hot to withstand.

Mr. Odinga observed that Dr. Ruto was wasting both Kenyans money and time by hanging in office when it was obvious his work had been moved to someone else.

He gave an example of his late father Jaramogi Oginga Odinga who had to pen a resignation letter to his then boss Jomo Kenyatta after they fell out.

“When Jaramogi disagreed with Kenyatta on the issues of land he wrote a letter that said he found it no longer tenable to remain in government and he resigned. He had the courage and decency to say I am stepping aside because I don’t want to earn a salary and I’m doing nothing. So if you have a problem with your boss, take a walk! Get out of it!” Odinga lashed at Ruto.

The African Special Envoy for Infrastructure was speaking this in his meeting with a huge delegation of Mt. Kenya elders(over 500) who had paid him a visit at his rural home in Bondo accompanied by Mr. Peter Kenneth.

He then gave his visitors hopes that their Handshake with Mr. Kenyatta will finally change lives of many Kenyans and urged everyone to ignore DP Ruto’s politics of handouts and tokenism which were hindering true and lasting route to quick recovery of the economy.

“But when Uhuru is pulling in this direction the other one is pulling in this opposit direction so he cannot be able to deliver what they promised the people of Kenya,” Odinga continued.

He noted further that the now famous ‘Wheelbarrow Movement’ was not going to help improve the lives of millions of suffering citizens terming it a tool being used to sanitise rogue leaders who had siphoned billions of money through graft and cutting deals.

“Ati unasaidia wakina mama, makanisa na vijana na wheelbarrows. Wheelbarrownomics will not solve Kenyan problems. You must address these issues properly,” he added.

While hitting directly at the DP,  Ruto was miles away attending a National Prayer Service Day at State House Nairobi where their differences with his boss Kenyatta again played out.

It is now clear that DP Ruto is juts hanging in there as many politicians who should be backing his ambitions have already taken extreme positions.

Also present in the Prayers Day Meeting was Amani National Congress ANC Party boss Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya’s Mosses Wetang’ula.
