Infotrak: Country is Headed in the Wrong Direction

Tuesday, September 12, 2023 –Latest opinion poll conducted by Infotrak opinion firm has established that the country is headed in the wrong direction.

In its latest Tuesday September 12 of opinion report, at least half (53 percent) of the country think there is a problem with governance and leadership.

The pollster announced that it collected the random data between August 21 to 23 and on September 10, 2023, and released it today Tuesday September 12.

The same survey found out that only 30 percent of the country believe that there is hope in the current leadership.

The survey targeted 4,000 Kenyans who are aged 18 years and above collected from the all the 47 counties, countrywide.

Other 13 percent remain undecided one year after Kenya Kwanza administration took charge of the country from Uhuru Kenyatta.

As Rift Valley and Central regions tend to believe that the country is headed in the right direction, Western, Nyanza and Nairobi counties have the highest percentage of respondents who think the country is headed in the wrong direction.

In terms of the executive rankings, President William Ruto was put at 55 percent while Interior Cabinet Secretary was ranked number one among the cabinet members with a score of C plain.

With President William Ruto marking one year in office on Wednesday, 11 of his Cabinet Secretaries managed to get an ‘average’ score performance of C.

In the same survey by Infotrak, only 11 CSs led by Interior boss Kithure Kindiki managed to get 50 percent and above.

This is despite the CSs being in office for almost 10 months since they took the oath of office in October 2022.
