Inside Ruto’s Planned Five Day Tour at the Silicon Valley in California

Thursday, September 14, 2023 –President William Ruto has planned a five day long tour at the Silicon Valley in San Francisco to interact with tech billionaires for investment reasons.

Statehouse Spokesman Hussein Mohammed on Wednesday September 13, announced that President Ruto who flew out of the country yesterday for the 78th session of the United Nations UN General Assembly, will utilize his first days to forge ties with innovators at the Silicon Valley.

“The visit aims to enhance investment opportunities and trade relations with the US, with a particular focus on nurturing Kenya’s thriving start-up sector known as the Silicon Savannah,” Hussein Mohammed announced.

The head of State will meet tech leaders at Microsoft, Intel, Google, and Apple with whom he wants to ask them to start absorbing young talents from Kenya as well as to invest in the country.

Ruto’s tour is coming just days after his deputy also left for Colombia and Cuba for trade-related visit.

Mudavadi in the U.K

At the same time Musalia Mudavadi and Attorney General Justine Muturi also jetted out for London in the United Kingdom U.K where they will spend three days before returning home.

“Arrived safely in London for a three-day official visit. Thank you Balozi Esipisu for the warm reception. Excited and ready to engage with UK government officials, industry leaders, and like-minded partners. Our goal is to showcase Kenya as the premier investment hub in Eastern Africa and beyond,” Mudavadi updated.

While there, Mudavadi announced that the UK government has committed to prioritizing the Nairobi City Railway as part of its Africa agenda.
