Isaac Ruto dumps Gideon Moi, joins DP Ruto’s Tangatanga

Friday, January 15, 2021 -Isaac Ruto will be ditching handshake camp for DP William Ruto ahead of 2022 general election. Reports have confirmed.

The Chama cha Mashinani Party leader who has been silent on Handshake politics is reportedly heading to DP Ruto’s camp following secret meetings which have been ongoing between the two.

Sources claim that Isaac Ruto is preparing to win back DP William Ruto’s support for his gubernatorial ambitions in Bomet during the next general elections.

Speaking to the media, however, Isaac conformed that they were still talking with the DP’s team and had not reached a conclusion.

“I may be the one who needs his support in 2022,” Isaac stated.

This Friday, Isaac will be hosting the DP in Sotik Bomet County for a bodaboda fundraiser. The DP will also be handing over buses to local schools in the area.

During the tour, the duo will make a stopover in Bomet Central where the DP will help in commissioning the town’s access roads and later donate a bus to the national super league side Siolibwet FC.

This meeting between the two Rutos is coming against the backdrop of a declaration by Isaac Ruto that he will back Baringo Senator Gideon Moi for the top seat.

“We are ready as a party to support you. Our party will field candidates up-to county level but for the top seat, we will support you(Gideon),” Isaac recently stated.

Hours later, when asked to clarify, he dismissed the claims through his party members who explained that they were yet to be consulted.

DP Ruto seems to be still a force in the Rift Valley politics if the number of those joining his camp is anything to go by.
