Wednesday, March 27, 2024 –Ex-Raila Odinga longtime ally and aide Silas Jakakimba has officially joined the ruling party, United Democratic Movement UDA Party.
In an official statement by the party Secretary General Cleophas Malalah on Tuesday March 26, it was announced that the speculations over the aide had finally been confirmed and he is now an official member in the ruling party.
“Former Raila Odinga’s Aide- Silas Jakakimba has officially joined the UDA Party. Mr. Jakakimba was received by the UDA Party Secretary General- Sen.Cleophas Malalah at the Party headquarters. UDA Party currently has 141,000 registered members in Homabay County,” Malalah added.
Jakakimba left the Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party to join UDA of President William Ruto after falling out with Odinga who played a major role in mentoring him into mainstream politics.
Mr. Jakakimba is a lawyer by profession.
