Wednesday, August 10, 2022 –Lang’ata Constituency candidate Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o has won the seat on an Orange Democratic Alliance ODM Party.
Jalang’o who was facing off with United Democratic Alliance UDA Party candidate, Nixon Korir, had an earlier lead what saw the latter decide to deliver an official concession speech.
Korir congratulated Jalang’o for winning the position saying he was a worthy competitor who also demonstrated maturity throughout the campaign season.
“I sincerely thank you for according me an opportunity to be your Member of Parliament for the last 5 years. It’s been a great opportunity that gave me an avenue to contribute to our nation-building and service to the people,” the former aide to Deputy President William Ruto listed.
He added that in the results so far with him, Jalang’o was far ahead and that the gap was so huge to expect any miracle to happen.
“My competitor Jalang’o has a lead and I want to congratulate him as he prepares to take the mantle and move Lang’ata forward. Siasa si chuki. God bless Langata,” he added.
This is coming just a day after he had told his supporters that he was sure of reclaiming back his Parliamentary position.
Other politicians who have already conceded defeat include Kiambu gubernatorial candidate Moses Kuria and Taita Taveta Member of Parliament Naomi Shaban who lost to Wiper Party candidate Bwire Okano.
Naomi has been in office for a period of 20 years.
