Thursday, December 23, 2021 –Comedian Felix Odiwuor popularly referred to as Jalang’o seems to be packing ready to join political life full time.
On Wednesday December 22, Jalang’o left a sad message to his fans at Kiss 100 FM after he announced that he was holding his last show with station.
And as a sign of saying goodbye, co-presenter Kamene Goro afforded Jalang’o a tight emotional hug that has left social media talking. Goro is yet to come to terms with Jalang’o’s decision to exit at the time she was used to his company every morning. There chemistry was one of its kind.
The entertainer will be vying for the Lang’ata parliamentary seat on Orange Democratic Movement ODM Party ticket.
He is leaving radio to start his campaigns since general elections are just eight months away. He will be facing off with United Democratic Movement UDA candidate Nixon Korir who is doing his first term as area MP.
Jalang’o had initially told his fans that he will be leaving radio studios in February next year but seems he has changed his mind due to time constraints and competition.
“Tarehe tisa February ndio siku yangu ya mwisho, ndio nataka kuingia kwa kiwanja ya campaign.
“Niko serious kabisa, I don’t go for things that I can’t get, nimepiga research mbaya sana ndio uone nimeamua ni Lang’ata,” he said.
Jalang’o has rose from grass to grace starting with the days he was a struggling actor in the slums before he joined Papa Shirandula show on Citizen Tv and, as they say, the rest is history.
