Friday, February 10, 2023 –Lang’ata Member of Parliament Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o is a happy man after President William Ruto kept his housing project promise.

In a video and a series of photos he shared on his socials, the radio presenter-turned-politician announced that, already, the construction of 4,800 houses at Soweto Zone B Highrise Ward in Lang’ata Constituency is ongoing.

This is after he recently went to meet the head of State at the Statehouse this week; a tour that raised both controversy and criticism from a section of his party members and party leader.

“Finally, today marked the beginning of a landmark project! The engines of 15 excavators roared today for this mega 3-year project! 4800 houses Soweto Zone B Highrise ward Langata Constituency! Let’s deliver this one!!” Jalang’o posted the caption.

Those who took to comments section asked him to focus on development and should not bother about what the party that sponsored him to Parliament thinks about him.

“ODM Party does not condone development, what you are doing right now is what your constituents elected you to do. But the problem is with our people Luos. Odingaism has made them to believe to be poor ndio ku ishi. Any development is a big No to them,” Oluoch Mejja opined.

Ken, on his part, stated that what the MP was now doing will be rewarded threefold in the few years to come and he ought not to stop.

“Chart your own path kijana. serve your people & you shall be rewarded. Look ahead. Do not serve nor worship an individual,” Ken made his comment.

And despite the praises, some social media users argued otherwise saying these are the normal unending PR stunts from the Kenya Kwanza government.

“Hizi ni PR tuu, we know Zakayo!! If he cannot lower food prices and cannot fulfill many promises to Kenyans sasa nyumba ndio atajenga?” Jaksule Kolwa posed.
