Friday, May 12, 2023 –Celebrated media personality Jeff Koinange has, for the first time, talked about his retire from the media industry after serving 30 years in various companies.
Talking on Grace Msalame’s Youtube channel, Jeff said retiring from office is inevitable especially for a man who has been around for not less than three decades.
He passed gratitude to his fans who have kept him moving and relevant for all this long now 30 years.
The JKL show founder, however, clarified that, even though he might move out of media when time comes, he will be switching to some other businesses because age is still on his side.
“The fact that I am relevant is still great and I will give it as much as I can. When it is time to walk away, I will walk away and I will do it knowing very well that I did my bit,” he stated.
He thanked the local market for having contributed a lot to his thriving media career that dates back to1995.
“It is so difficult for a business like this. There is so much talent. I am going to have to give it up at some point. 30 years! I can move on. I am so humbled,” he went on.
The decorated anchor mentioned that, most Kenyans love seeing him on Tv and this, in return, paid off both to him and to the media companies he worked for.
It is the viewers who motivated him to always wake up early in the morning to report on duty both for Tv and radio sessions.
“If you see people going out of the way to watch me, then I say that I must give it back. I will give you the content,” the city journalist said.
Todate, Mr. Koinange is arguably the best paid journalist in the country with section claiming that he takes home not less than a million shillings every end month.
Before joining Royal Media Services RMS, Jeff worked at the Moi-owned Standard Group’s KTN for some time.
