Saturday, September 18, 2021 -Businessman-cum-politician Jimi Wanjigi was today welcomed by a very large number of delegates and supporters in Siaya.
This was the 2 day following his aborted Migori County meeting where goons stormed his meeting with stones prompting it to end prematurely.
But according to Wanjigi’s statement, today was a successful day as large numbers of ODM supporters turned up in support of his presidential bid.
“It is full House in Siaya! The future of the orange Democratic Movement Party is bright. Ni wakati wa mashujaa wapya,” Wanjigi wrote on his Facebook page.
This is coming barely 24 hours after he was attacked in Migori in what he later described as an in-house plot by those who don’t want Raila challenged by anyone.
Wanjigi through a press conference he held yesterday regretted saying the Migori tour was one of the worst and regretful in the history of politics of this country. He called it a sad day for the democracy.
Siaya in Nyanza is Raila Odinga’s political bedrock but with the calm that was witnessed today, pundits have it that this was exceptional political maturity that has never been witnessed before.
Speaking today in Siaya, the business mogul Wanjigi reminded Nyanza people of the many past incidences he had to bite the bullet for Raila whenever the regime was baying for his blood.
