Saturday, October 30, 2021 –Former Presidential candidate Cyrus Jirongo has reignited his war with Deputy President William Ruto claiming the DP will change the Constitution once he takes power.

In a scathing attack leveled directly at his former junior staff, the businessman who was attending the One Kenya Alliance OKA rallies in Western Kenya argued that Deputy President William Ruto will turn to something else when he is elected.

That apart from changing the Constitution in the first 100 days so that he can cling to power, he will also embark on a killing spree of anyone who has been opposing him; a replica of what has been happening in the neighboring Uganda, Sudan and Tanzania.

Jirongo narrated his past with Ruto saying the DP is always a good man when he wants something but behind the scenes he is something else and those preparing to elect him must also be aware of his past history.

In a subsequent interview with Daily Nation, the veteran politician outlined a number of events Ruto sought forgiveness from Moi but the former head of State could not allow nor forgive him because of the obvious reasons. He went on to claim that when Raila worked with Ruto in 2007/8, their relationship could not last long same to Uhuru who has refused to forgive the deputy.

The former Lugari MP, in a blow by blow account, stated that working with the DP is very difficult and that is why every leader cannot sustain him close for long unless you play a fool.

“In the first one hundred days of Ruto Presidency, the constitution will be changed and term limits removed. People will be killed like flies in this country.

“Some things happening in neighboring countries will happen here. Be careful what you wish for,” said Jirongo.

Mr. Jirongo and Ruto have a common past history where they all belonged to the defunct Youth for Kanu 92 – a group of youth who criss-crossed the country drumming up support for the late President Daniel Moi who in turn financed their activities well.
