Making this good news public, an elated Sang said through his Facebook page that he had been seconded to the office of the head of Public Service, Felix Koskei.

“Thank you, your Excellency President Dr William Samoei Ruto for appointing me as Director, Public Communication in the office of the Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service,” Journalist Sang said.

Sang, President William Ruto, Francis Muthaura and former head of State Uhuru Kenyatta faced charges at the International Criminal Court ICC in the Hague in relation to the 2007 post-election violence PEV.

They were accused of committing crimes against humanity and forceful eviction of residents from areas they were living for years.

Sang, in particular, was linked to inciting language he reportedly used on mainstream media and which caused a lot of animosity among communities living in the Rift Valley.

However, on April 5, 2016, the Trial Chamber V(A) decided, by majority, to terminate their cases for lack of compelling evidence, but the court still refused to acquit the accused.

The prosecution claimed that most of the witnesses who had evidence had been threatened, killed and some bribed to change their minds.

To date, the cases remains suspended until further notice.
