Friday, May 19, 2023 –Narok Teacher who recently trended for repairing children’s uniform using her hand needle has today been offered a three-day trip to the Coast.
On Friday May 19, a popular tour company by the name Expeditions Maasai Safaris rewarded the female teacher for her heart-felt gesture at her school located in Narok County.
Joyce Sempela Malit, accompanied by the pupil, were flown to Mombasa for the mouthwatering 3-day trip as confirmed by the tour firm management.
“The Day for Teacher Joyce Sempela Malit and her pupil to enjoy their much-deserved break is here. We hope this will encourage all of us to remain kind and ready to extend help to those who need it most,” said Expeditions Maasai Safaris CEO Pancras Karema.
Teacher Malit, while reacting to the offer, said she can’t wait to thank the tour company for the good gesture towards her and her pupil.
“I can’t hold my tears in. The little girl surprised me with these as flowers. She’s grateful for all the support she’s gotten from all of you. Thank you for putting a smile on her face. And to Expeditions Maasai Safaris she says thank you,” the teacher stated when they received the good offer.
Malit’s name shot to the limelight on May 9 when photos showing her hand-sewing her pupil’s dress when the uniform got torn on a rough desk in class hence exposing her undergarments.
Kenyans from all walks of life would heap praises at the teacher with former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko being among those who started donating towards the duo.
Mr. Sonko, for instance, bought a uniform for the little girl and promised to support her academic journey.
Mrs Malit’s unwavering dedication and compassionate nature earned her a special place in the hearts of many and established her as a beloved figure in the society.
