Wednesday, February 23, 2022 –Suna East Lawmaker Junet Mohamed has met with his Mvita counterpart Abdulswamad Shariff Nasir to clear the air on the viral video.
A video surfaced a day ago showing Junet shove Shariff’s head backwards in full glare of cameras triggering an unending debate on the conduct of Junet who is a long time close ally of Raila Odinga.
But in his latest response to the accusations over his bad conduct, Junet took to Twitter account to share that he has never had a frosty relationship with Shariff as it had been doctored in the video.
He maintained that the viral video was mutilated by desperate United Democratic Alliance UDA Party bloggers and politicians to paint him in bad light and to show him as a leader who his high-handed and arrogant.
In his Wednesday February 23 afternoon post, Junet claimed that Nassir was his brother and together have had a good working relationship throughout.
“With my brother Hon. Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir. The last few days have seen so much rubbish said about me from a digitally manipulated video.
“In Tononoka, we drove together in the same vehicle to the venue and left together. Hon. Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir and I are deeply cordial. Ignore desperate rumours. Team Azimio is strong,” he stated.
On his part, Shariff Nassir who is currently running for Mombasa Governor position also dismissed the video as politically manipulated.
