Self-confessed serial killer Philip Onyancha.

Lesiit sought to know more details about the crucial blood stain which was found on the door of the diseased and which the prosecution couldn’t provide details.

According to the judge, this part was not well captured in the of prosecution papers making him wonder why such a critical evidence was left out. This would have helped unravel what transpired before the death. It therefore weakened the case.

The judge, while delivering the ruling, stated that the victim’s death was as a result of murder but couldn’t directly link the case to Onyancha.

During the hearing, the judge thanked Onyancha’s lawyer Mary Chepseba for remaining calm throughout the case that saw several others quit along the way.

This case in particular has had its twists and turns when mental tests of the accused were not conducted properly. Onyancha had been accused of luring young women into his house where he would then murder them after drinking their blood.

Along the way, Onyancha’s freedom started beckoning when Judge Lesiit once ordered a repeat of the mental tests for the accused what resulted in completely different findings which indicated that the accused was not fit for trial. The tests involved lawyers Paul Muite and a psychiatrist.
