Thursday, May 12, 2022 –Dissatisfied William Kabogo has given Deputy President William Ruto an ultimatum over the just published Kenya Kwanza agreement.
In a statement he delivered on Thursday May 12, a visibly angry Tujubebe Party boss got concerned about the sharing of government among three main parties – ANC, Ford Kenya and UDA.
The former governor for Kiambu insisted that he does not want any post same to his family but the interests of the people of the Mountain must be catered for in Kenya Kwanza if he has to stay in the coalition.
Kabogo now says William Ruto is on a revenge mission to shortchange Mt. Kenya part of the country through shoddy deals among parties.
“I held talks with Ruto in Dubai and he asked what I wanted. I told him that I did not wish to get any position for myself or my wife. The only thing I told him is that his government must ensure the Mt Kenya region gets its fair share of the government revenue.
“I have called him and challenged him to explain why they are sharing seats and the agreement has no mention of the interests of the Mt Kenya region,” he argued.
In the deal seen by Homenews.co.ke, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetang’ula have to deliver 70 percent Western votes in exchange for a 30 percent government share.
On the same note, Mudavadi will become Chief Minister through an express executive order as Senator Wetang’ula is made National Assembly speaker.
UDA Party will have the presidency both the flag bearer as well as his running mate.
