Former Kiambu County Governor William Kabogo has broken his silence a day after landing a plum Cabinet position in Kenya Kwanza administration.

Taking to his X today Thursday Dec 20, the Mt. Kenya politician thanked President Ruto for the warm gesture of offering him a position to serve the nation.

“Grateful to President H.E. Dr. William Ruto for the trust and honour of nominating me as Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communication & Digital Economy. Thank you, Mr. President and the people of Kenya, for this opportunity,” he remarked in his statement.

Kabogo, Mutahi Kagwe and Lee Kinyanjui were lucky to secure Cabinet slots in an announcement made through a Gazette Notice dared December 19.

Ruto also used the changes to move his close friend Kipchumba Murkomen to the powerful interior docket.
