Friday, March 19, 2021 -A section of Kakamega County leaders led by Major(Rtd) Suleiman Sumba have rolled out a campaign initiative to rally locals to embrace the ongoing Covid Vaccine.
In his Friday March 19 phone interview with homenews.co.ke, Sumba observed that the doubts which were recently raised by some countries over safety of the AstraZeneca Vaccine have since been settled and the said States have already resumed with their vaccination exercises.
He added that it will not be possible to eradicate the virus to its full extinction but through the availed vaccines, citizens will be able to resume their normal lives.
Sumba further took the opportunity to urge everyone to adhere to laid down Covid safety procedures such as social distancing, wearing face-masks and washing hands.
The former Kakamega County gubernatorial aspirant further warned that shall locals relax in following what the Ministry of Health had directed, the ongoing third wave of Covid will wreak more havoc which will make it had to reverse.
According to the politician, after the World Health Organization WHO had approved the vaccine, there is no need for anyone to continue casting aspersions on its validity.
“Go for vaccination because all nations have already resumed the vaccination exercise after some few concerns were raised,” he stated.
Major(Rtd) Sumba then recorded his heartfelt condolences with the people of Tanzania for losing their leader John Pombe Magufuli.
