In a fresh statement following concerns from fellow opposition leaders and other Azimio la Umoja supporters, Mr Musyoka has, today Sunday September 3, refuted reports that he had endorsed Kenya Kwanza leader William Ruto as a duly-elected president of Kenya.

This clarification statement was mostly triggered by fellow principal Martha Karua who boldly termed the Kalonzo’s Saturday remarks as incorrect and personal.
“Not true,” Karua stated after the Nation newspaper ran the story in which Mr Musyoka had allegedly recognised Dr. Ruto.
While in Taita Taveta’s Voi area for a burial service of Wiper’s MCA, Mr Musyoka was quoted by newspapers as having cleared the election victory of Kenya Kwanza government.
He reportedly lauded President William Ruto for supporting the ongoing talks at the Bomas of Kenya despite heavy resistance from his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.
For that reason, the Azimio co-principal said Ruto is now fully recognised due to his Statesmanship and leadership maturity.
