Monday, December 20, 2021 –Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has asked former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to follow President Uhuru Kenyatta in retirement.
Addressing in Thika town on Sunday December 19 where they had their One Kenya Alliance OKA rally, Mr Musyoka advised President Kenyatta not to leave Raila behind as he retires home.
The OKA co-principal argued that time for elderly persons to lead the country was over and young turks should now be given their space from 2022.
He further reasoned that the country can only be able to enjoy peace and posterity only if the two leaders quit active politics together.
“When our friend Uhuru Kenyatta goes home next year, he needs to tag along with his handshake partner, Raila Odinga. Me and my friends in OKA have not fallen out with anyone.
“We’ll ensure the country is heading in the right direction,” Kalonzo stated in Thika.
He was accompanied by all OKA colleagues – ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Gideon Moi (KANU), Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya), former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo, and former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo.
Kabogo who is already jostling to make a comeback as the next Kiambu County governor hosted the group for the first time.
In his latest interview on Tv, the politician said he has no problem with anybody seeking to become the next head of State but clarified that this will squarely depend on how each will approach the electorate.
