Sunday, February 21, 2021 -Wiper Democratic Movement Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has finally revealed why he had to boycott Raila Odinga’s mock swearing in ceremony at Uhuru Park.

While firing back at Odinga’s recent remarks about a section pressuring him to endorse them, Mr. Kalonzo today gave a completely new version of why he couldn’t attend the ceremony unlike their earlier version which they had claimed that Odinga had duped them through a Nigerian line. Kalonzo, in earlier versions, also said there was a house arrest.

And speaking today Sunday at AIC Kyamutheke in Machakos, Mr. Musyoka noted that he deliberately refused to walk to Uhuru Park because he didn’t want to taint his image as a senior citizen.

Kalonzo explained how attending such a function would have disqualified him from being a senior counsel as well as vying for anything any other time.

“I did what I did to make this country better. I am a senior council and that is the highest ranking that an advocate aspires. How would I have participated in a mock, illegal unconstitutional oath,”Kalonzo said.

He therefore said he is not interested in an endorsement from Mr. Odinga because he believes he can become a president through God.

“Wacha nimjibu Raila Odinga nikiwa hapa kanisani. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka anatafuta endorsement ya Mwenyezi Mungu (Let me answer Raila Odinga while here in church. Stephen Kalonzo seeks endorsement from God),” said Kalonzo.

The Wiper Party leader further said, after Odinga had sworn himself in, he took time to talk to him to meet with Kenyatta so that they could iron out their differences for the sake of the country.

On Saturday February 20, Raila made it clear that he will not  be supporting anyone from his NASA team because they betrayed him at the time he needed them most in 2017.

“When we were going for the swearing-in, in Nairobi, they refused. They were trembling and even switched off their phones because they are cowards. They now want me to give them support. I won’t give them because they demonstrated their cowardice,” he added.

The 2017 defunct NASA coalition was made up of Raila, Kalonzo, Mudavadi, Isaac Ruto and Mr. Wetang’ula.
