Thursday, July 8, 2021 -Orange Democratic Movement Party leader Raila Odinga and his Wiper Democratic counterpart Kalonzo Musyoka are scheduled to meet today to kick-start NASA talks.
However, Musyoka who confirmed his presence was categorical that his main agenda before anything else is discussed will be to demand party funds which ODM Party refused to share with affiliates of NASA.
Fresh reports indicate that Amani National Congress ANC, Wiper Democratic and Ford Kenya parties all want to compel their big brother ODM to share any political parties funds so far received on their account.
Kalonzo Musyoka, on his part, said his meeting today with Odinga will only focus on funds and nothing else. That before that is sorted out, there is no way they can talk about 2022.
This renewed war over parties funds may see the intended unity of the NASA principals take alittle longer to materialise.
“The issue of discussion will be political parties funds. This is taxpayers money by the way. About 2022 no…time to discuss that is coming and coming very soon. That is not on the agenda today,” Kalonzo added.
The Wiper Party boss, just like his colleagues in NASA, have been accusing their big brother ODM of disrespect which they claim led to the bad blood between them hence NASA disintegration.
