Wednesday, August 10, 2022 –Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya’s Martha Karua has made a remark over the ongoing general election results in the country.
Taking to her Twitter handle on Wednesday August 10 afternoon, Ms Karua through a brief coded message, said time for their opponents to celebrate was still far.
This is after one of her followers and a supporter of Deputy President William Ruto made a joke following dismal performance in her own polling station in Kirinyaga County.
The hustler supporter mocked Ms Karua for delivering just a handful of votes to Raila Odinga despite having indicted that she could do better.
But in quick sharp response, the optimistic Narc-Kenya Party boss said she is not worried by the results because more tallies were still on the way and could tilt the numbers in favour of Azimio camp.
“Will always go with my heart! It’s not done till it’s done,” the Narc Kenya party leader echoed.
Azimio’s Odinga managed to garner only 311 votes (25.2 per cent) against Ruto’s 911 votes (74 per cent) of the ballots cast at Mugumo Primary School polling station, where Karua cast her ballot.
Miles away in Samburu West, however, Narc Kenya candidate Naisula Lesuuda won the election with a wide margin; something Karua lauded saying she had made her party very proud.
