Tuesday, March 22, 2022 -Narc-Kenya Party leader Martha Karua has rebuked the Daily Nation for claiming that she had referred to Gideon Moi and Kalonzo Musyoka as political traitors.
Through her Twitter Handle, the Central Kenya politician said whatever story the daily had run on Tuesday March 22 was a complete distortion of facts and figures and that in the entire interview with NTV there was no where she made such remarks.
“Shame on you for deliberate distortion. These are your words not mine! I dare you to post the video,” she scoffed.
Karua who appeared on the TV interview on Monday night was asked what her plans on the coalition were now that all of her partners had already joined other friends, said she is still waiting for the best time to make her final move.
She also said Gideon and Kalonzo just like herself were not tied to an agreement signed as OKA principals and therefore having decided to join hands with Mr. Odinga’s Azimio was their democratic right. She however added that it was contrary to what they had discussed in their meetings.
“Kama kila chama imenegotiate kivyake na kuona kile wamesign kinawafaa basi waende. Wamefanya kinyume cha mkataba lakini haki yao hiyo” Karua also noted in the interview.
The former Constitutional Minister went ahead to state that she could not stop anyone from moving ahead with their democratic plan because that is what politics in this country is.
This is happening even as Gatundu South legislator Moses Kuria has intensified campaigns to woo Karua to their One Kenya Alliance.
In along statement dated Tuesday March 22, Kuria argued that a Ruto-Karua combination would be so lethal for anyone to dare stop.
“Pick a side and put on your Jersey. I look forward to an imminent Ruto – Karua ticket to save this country from eternal dynastic domination and give hopes to millions of children who went to school bare-footed. If you decide otherwise, you will still remain my sister, my senior and my friend,” Kuria wrote.
He nonetheless noted that even if Ms Karua decided to join their opponents, they will, as usual, still remain good friends.
