Thursday, August 19, 2021 -Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua now wants to take former Prime Minister Raila to court for meddling in electoral process.

In her latest outburst, Ms Karua sounded a warning to those calling for the removal of Wafula Chebukati as Chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC.

IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati.

The debate about removal of Mr. Chebukati from office gained momentum last week after Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga and Embakasi lawmaker Babu Owino warned that next polls must be conducted by a different person and not Mr. Chebukati.

They continued insisting that their faith in Chebukati had deteriorated and the only way out was to see him out as soon as possible. The duo added that Chebukati could easily be coaxed by rivals and lead to another skewed 2022 election.

But speaking over the matter, the former Gichugu MP Martha Karua observed that it was unfair for ODM Party to start planning elections alone without involving other players.

“We are going to take you to court if you try to exclude Kenyans from the planning and management of the elections,” Karua said.

She fired that there was need for all the stakeholders to be actively involved in the planning of next polls and not just a single party.
