Ken Mijungu Sacked Again

Renowned television host Ken Mijungu has parted ways with Cape Media’s TV47, less than a month after his highly publicised arrival at the Muthaiga North Road-based station.

According to a letter seen by a section of the media and signed by Cape Media HR Lilian Makandi dated February 22, Mijungu’s departure followed the management’s approval of his request for an early contract termination, submitted just days after joining TV47.

Mijungu had formally written to the management on Friday, February 21, seeking time off to reflect on his engagement with the company.

”We acknowledge receipt of your email dated February 21, 2025, in which you requested time off to reflect on your engagement with the company.

”Having considered the matter, Management has taken the decision to revoke the Service  Agreement dated January 31, 2025. This decision takes effect from February 22, 2025.,” partly read the letter.

However, Cape Media CEO Makandi in her letter wished Mijungu success, revealing that the station would be excited to work with him, should he reconsider his decision.

”This development notwithstanding, we shall be pleased to engage with you on future possibilities. The management wishes you the best in your future endeavours,” the letter added.

Any attempts to contact Mijungu for comment were unsuccessful, as he did not respond to our messages.
