Tuesday, February 1, 2022 –There was an altercation between Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja and gubernatorial aspirant Bishop Margret Wanjiru.
In a video that arrived on our homenews.co.ke desk on Tuesday February 1, a visibly agitated Wanjiru could be seen angrily confronting Sakaja over a microphone as other leaders and residents looked on in shock.
Our sources revealed that Sakaja who was moderating speakers during their Kenya Kwanza rally held at Westlands on Tuesday, cut shot Wanjiru before she completed addressing, what seemed to anger her leading to the verbal exchange.
Every speaker had been asked to be brief but when Wanjiru took to the podium she was long what forced Sakaja to grab the microphone from her leading to the altercation.
Residents who were following the event could be heard jeering in rivalry as Sakaja tried hard to avoid a fight with the charged up Wanjiru.
Wanjiru and Sakaja both want to become Nairobi governor. Sakaja is using Amani National Congress ANC while Wanjiru wants to use United Democratic Alliance UDA Party to vie for the same position.
And with the fight now within their new coalition, it will be interesting to see how Musalia and Ruto will be taking control of their ship to save it from further sinking.
This is happening just days after it emerged that the two parties were yet to agree on working terms.
“When the time of agreeing on the coalition terms comes, we will deal with it. Our supporters wherever you are, know that your party has not signed any coalition pact and you will be notified later if it happens,” UDA Party Chairman Johnston Muthama remarked.
He would again recant the statement saying it was blown out of proportion. He then clarified that there was an agreement which was yet to be official.
