Tuesday, August 30, 2022 –All Kenya Power customers have been alerted about a change in the way they have been paying their bills.

The State-owned Kenya Power KPLC utility company has kicked out third party payment agents who have been receiving funds on its behalf’; this being part of the new efforts to centralize revenue collection from its customers across the country.

This will also help them easily monitor their cash flow from users across the nation following reports of leakages and delays.

From Today Tuesday August 30, KPLC payment channels have been cut down both for the prepaid and postpaid clients.

Several businesses had emerged as venders of prepaid electricity token in the guise of digital firms which the company had allowed to carry out the service.

“Please note that no other third-party agent is authorised to offer these services on behalf of KPLC. The Company will therefore not take liability for any transaction conducted through any other platform,” partly read the Notice from the utility provider.
