Monday, July 3, 2023 –Following a verdict delivered at the High Court on the positions of Chief Administrative Secretaries, Kenyans have come out to seek answers on Chief Cabinet Secretary position held by Musalia Mudavadi.
Led by popular social media user Gabriel Oguda, a section of Kenyans now want to know what the court said about unconstitutional offices created by President William Ruto after winning power.
“Omwami, Musalia Mudavadi. Someone has asked me to assure that we haven’t heard anyone with intentions to go ask the High Court whether the post of Prime Cabinet Secretary is constitutional. When you go home this evening, kamata hio Chrome vizuri, because nobody knows tomorrow,” Oguda quipped.
Several other users would pour on the comments section to support the post cautioning the Chief Minister against daring courts when his office is also a creation of the presidential directive.
“Vya Wenzake CASs hamsini vishanyolewa utaona tu mtu hapa akitag Mwanasheria Wetu Mkuu Okiya Omtatah akiomba tuelezewe kipengee cha katiba anachopatikana Omwami Mr. Prime Cabinet Secretary,” Pan African noted.
Biko, on his part, said, Senator Omtatah is now having his plate full with cases against the William Ruto’s government.
“I see Omtatah has a series of increasingly rigorous schedule of unearthing unconstitutional offices,” Biko stated in the comments section.
But OJ saved the Prime Cabinet Secretary saying both him and wife have, for long, had an understanding of the common mwananchi and their offices will remain untouched for sake of public interest.
The debate picked on immediately the High Court deliberated and decided on the Constitutionality of newly-created offices in government.
The court under judges Justice Kanyi Kimondo, Lady Justice Hedwig Ong’udi and Justice Aleem Visram. would term the CASs position unconstitutional.
