Tuesday, November 1, 2022 –A section of leaders and several other Kenyans have ganged up against Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale for spreading lies on Raila Odinga.
Khalwale on Monday October 31 accused Raila of snubbing him in a burial event in which Fernandes Barasa’s mother Mama Philomena Barasa was being laid to rest.
In the controversial evening post, the vocal United Democratic Alliance UDA Party politician had accused Odinga of avoiding to shake his hand in public.
“Today I met with the Azimio honcho. Pissed off with me! Nevertheless I ignored him, happily going on to greet & exchange niceties with Kalonzo Musyoka. Watu wawache hasira ya kupoteza kura,” he claimed through the post.
But it would later come out through a series of subsequent photos shared the same day that the senator did not only have a firm grip with Mr. Odinga but also shared a moment of laughter for a minute.
“My Senator Boni Khalwale needs to outgrow these clout seeking and childish tweets. Elections are over. it is time to serve Kenyans. And he must learn to respect Baba Raila Odinga. If he cannot learn, we will teach him the hard way,” Kakamega Deputy Governor Ayub Savula who was present in the burial stated.
Furthermore, Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly MCA Robert Alai also took issue with Khalwale by describing his actions as juvenile and shameful.
“Why feign bitterness with Raila to earn support? You people should be ashamed of yourselves. @RailaOdinga moved on and left you a govt to run. Now you people behave like lost pigs every day. Run the f***ng govt,” he scoffed.
Several other social media fans also attacked the UDA senator for the malicious post.
