Saturday, April 1, 2023 –Area Member of Parliament, Khwisero Constituency, Christopher Aseka Wangaya, has refuted any knowledge on the death of Kisa East MCA, Stephen Maloba.
Responding to social media claims that the MCA was stubbed to his death by his supporters who were in confrontation with the diseased during a local even, Aseka clarified that the alleged stabbing of the MCA did not take place in his meeting.
“It is paramount to report that the unfortunate death of Maloba did not take place at the venue of my meeting, neither did he attend the meeting as purported by a section of social media users.
“I have recorded a statement with the Criminal Investigation Department DCI for further urgent investigations into the matter,” the lawmaker defended himself.
He, therefore, seized the opportunity to eulogise the departed soul saying they worked together well to deliver services to the people of Khwisero Constituency,
“My heart goes out to his immediate family, friends and the people of Khwisero for losing a great leader with whom I worked very closely,” the lawmaker mourned.
This death was first made public by Kakamega Deputy Governor, Ayub Savula, alongside Senator Boni Khalwale on Saturday, April 1, during an interdenominational service held in Malava Kakamega.
