Thursday, July 15, 2021 -It is a do or die between Deputy President William Ruto who is facing off with his boss Uhuru Kenyatta in the Kiambaa by-election where both have candidates.
The showdown between the two is expected to kick off today July 15 early morning when United Democratic Alliance UDA Party candidate John Njuguna takes on Jubilee’s Kariri Njama.
There have been witnessed rigorous campaigns on the ground with both groups pitching camps in the Constituency. Pundits described the campaigns as highly funded in the history of any by-election in the country.
The electoral body Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC indicated that there are more than 96,000 registered voters in the Constituency.
The by-election was triggered by the death of MP Paul Koinange -the former area member of Parliament.
