Majority leader Amos Kimunya.

This ruling overturned an earlier decision by the anti-corruption Court that had acquitted the politician of any fraud-related charges which included illegal transfer of a piece of land.

In the case, the former Kipipri Member of Parliament had been charged of six counts of abuse of power in which he illegally allocated land to a private developer.

He will now be facing fresh charges now that the court sitting in Nairobi found out that he was freed prematurely.

But as this was going on, Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu was granted a reprieve in his sh 588 million fraud case.

The case was dropped after the prosecution failed to table enough evidence to support the case against the ex-Kiambu boss who had been accused of stealing millions of public money while serving as the first Kiambu County governor.
