A 37 year old man in Kisumu, Philip Otieno, has shared with a lifestyle online page how he bought a house in Mambo Leo area only for the owner to start asking for more payment than what they had agreed.
According to Otty or Otieno, he paid a deposit of Ksh 2.2 million and the balance of Ksh 1.2 million was agreed to be settled once the paper work is complete.
“We had agreed before our lawyers that the house cost would be Ksh 3.4 million. This was to be paid first a deposit of Ksh 2.2M which I paid through a bank transfer.
“The seller was supposed to complete the paper work with me as the new owner but he only did it halfway and abandoned the process all together. I however just paid him the balance hopping that he will let me in but he still blocked me to occupy,. He wanted another Ksh 1M extra,” said Otty.
The frustrated Otieno went on to start facing life threats and intimidations from that rogue seller and he(Otieno) was almost reaching his breaking point. Then someone whispered to him about a certain traditional doctor.
“Do not sue this seller. He has money and, more so, your own money which you recently paid him as the deposit. He will use this to frustrate you longer,” the friend counselled.
“So what do I do?” Otty posed.
