Sunday, October 15, 2023 –Public Service Cabinet Secretary CS Moses Kuria has broken silence over news about his relocation to Railways Headquarters.
Following recent Cabinet reshuffles, news about Kuria moving to Railways offices where Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi is located emerged.
It was reported that he (Kuria) will be moved there as Mr. Mudavadi takes harambee House premises.
However, responding to the reports, Kuria on Sunday October 15, clarified that he will remain working from Harambee House same to Principal Secretary for Performance and Delivery Management Veronicah Nduva.
“The PCS will continue operating from Railways Headquarters and myself from Harambee House. Principal Secretary for Performance and Delivery Management Veronicah Nduva will also be based at Harambee House to oversee Government Delivery Services, Performance Contracting, State Corporations Advisory Committee and Inspectorate of State Corporations as per Executive Order Number 1 of 2023,” he said in the statement.
The CS said there was absolutely no supremacy war between him and PCS Musalia Mudavadi as had been reported in sections of the media.
“Contrary to media reports today, there is absolutely no tug of war between myself and my senior and close friend Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi,” said Kuria.
Kuria was recently reshuffled from Trade and Industrialization Ministry which is now under Ms Rebbeca Miano – the immediate former East African Community Cabinet Secretary
The former Trade CS on Wednesday last week, handed over the docket to his successor a week after he was pushed to the Ministry of Public Service.
The Ministry of Trade is housed at the NSSF building.
