Tuesday, April 16, 2024 –Larry Madowo, CNN senior reporter has emerged with past tweets made by Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen over the poor state at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
Responding to a long statement which had been made by Murkomen who was not happy with the recent filming at the JKIA showing leaking roofs, immediately Larry came out guns-blazing with evidence to show that Murkomen, at some point in the past – between 2012 and 2014 – also made certain disparaging statement over the state at the JKIA.
“Do you want to tell me that there is nothing good in JKIA? Do you want to say that the only good thing you saw with the express way is the few minutes of blocked drainage? Stop amplifying negatives and have a balanced attitude towards life and progress,” Murkomen told the CNN reporter.
The CS would also go on to claim that there are so many good things Larrry can focus on rather than to spread malice and misleading information considering his international level of journalism.
But, immediately, Larry reminded the CS for Transport that the aim is not to mislead but to help the CS make improvements within his docket.
“Bro Kipchumba, I want you to succeed. I point out these issues because I love my country. I want it to work for everyone, not just the powerful & privileged. I’m just a citizen who refuses to support mediocrity in the name of positivity. We deserve nice things – all of us,” added the CNN reporter.
Larry continued sharing some past posts made by the CS way back when he was still the senator for Elgeyo Marakwet attacking those who were in the Ministry of Transport then. In the series of tweets, Murkomen appeared to lament about Uhuru Kenyatta government’s ability to improve the JKIA facility.
“The traffic jam at JKIA gate is terrible. The airport isn’t looking international,” one of the past tweets read.
Mr. Murkomen also added attacking the Uhuru Kenyetta leadership saying then that the magnitude of destruction at the JKIA was wanton and only those who visit the facility are able to witness and speak.
