Tuesday, October 22, 2024 –Lawyer Willis Otieno his colleague Miguna Miguna have taken issue with Professor Tom Ojienda over today’s proceedings.

According to Willis, Tome Ojienda has been using his big titles in undermining other lawyers in the court.

This is after Lawyer Ongoya felt insulted by Ojienda when they met in court over Gachagua’s ongoing impeachment that pits the State against the DP.

“Those who have achieved success in the legal profession must nurture the next generation. Instead of using titles as weapons in legal debates, there should be a focus on mentoring and guiding younger lawyers—helping them grow, rather than silencing them with weighty resumes,” Willis made the comments after the proceeding had been adjourned following chaos that erupted between lawyers.

Lawyer Willis went on to claim that titles and CVs can impress, but they don’t automatically translate into quality arguments or leadership in any profession.

“Law is a noble profession, no doubt. It demands critical thinking, analytical skills, and a passion for justice. But it’s not the only path to success. In fact, law school isn’t for the faint of heart. The sleepless nights spent pouring over dense legal texts, and the countless hours dissecting case law, aren’t exactly everyone’s cup of tea. It’s a commitment, not a walk in the park,” added Willis.

He was quickly supported by Lawyer Miguna Miguna who also appeared to poke holes into the conduct of Prof. Tom Ojienda.

“My friend Willis, don’t even bother, as most of the weight in most of their resumes are made up of foul smelling excrement,” Miguna commented.

The High Court was today forced to adjourn after the legal teams representing impeached deputy president and other parties went at each other’s jugular forcing the judges in the case to announce temporary adjournment.

This followed a heated debate and legal exchange between impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s team and the court regarding the composition of the three-judge bench hearing the case.

Gachagua’s team told the court that the bench hearing the case was unlawfully constituted and, therefore, ought to be dismembered and a fresh one announced by Chief Justice Martha Koome.
