City lawyer has expressed his concerns on the possibilities of President William Ruto getting re-elected in 2027.
In his opinion today Friday November 29, Lawyer Willis Otieno remarked that the head of State is nolonger popular and that those who had hopes in him are nolonger excited seeing him at the top.
Willis added that the only pillars that helped President Ruto secure the presidential seat are all against him accept a few friends who coalesce around him on a daily basis for deals.
For that reason, Willis held the view that, Ruto is now hanging on Mr. Raila Odinga to survive a day and that, should Odinga break loose, it will be the end of the Ruto’s presidency. The shortest ever in the history of Kenya.
Lawyer Willis noted that if it was not for the Constitution of Kenya which guarantees a five-year term for any president, Ruto would be home and dry today.
“He is very weak, he is surviving on Raila Odinga as the only pillar. And we don’t know how long he will continue to hold on to him because even Raila must assume his policies to the interests of the people, ” the lawyer alleged.
The lawyer has alleged that Ruto is no longer charming to his then supporters and that the people have rejected the him.
“His first pillar was the people, and right now the people have abandoned him, starting with those from Mt. Kenya. It’s not just them; most people have rejected him,” Otieno continued.
The Nairobi lawyer argued that the church, Members of Parliament, and other factors that held Ruto in office have since left and want him out as soon as possible.
Otieno challenged Kenyans to consider the possibility that Ruto is beatable and to work towards ensuring he does not hold on to power for a second term.
