Raila Amollo Odinga is being prepared to take over from President Uhuru Kenyatta after this last term. It has been reported.
Speaking his mind in an interview, Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe has let the cat out of the bag saying Mr. Odinga is their preferred candidate after Uhuru.
Murathe who is a close associate to the Deep State, mentioned that Raila Odinga ought to be finally rewarded and be given power which he will wield for only one term and then pass it over to a fresh generation.
Murathe, a powerful power broker, further said not rewarding Odinga for Ruto would be quiet unfair since comparing the two; Odinga comes first in deeds and age.
Murathe seemed to be responding to Oburu Odinga’s prayers to the Deep Sate that it was high time to reward Odinga atleast for one term if the new found relationship between President Uhuru and Mr. Odinga was to be taken serious.
“We think it’s time Kenyans rewarded the years of struggle of Raila Amollo Odinga. They owe it to him. It’s like Mandela, and 2022 will be a Mandela Moment. And we would also like to tell him (Raila) to be a transitional president who will then nurture the young generation to take over in 2027,” Murathe asserted.
The Standard paper further reported that as a test of ground, Odinga for the first time in history of the country was allowed to launch his office in Central Kenya Kirinyaga County.
The Uhuru Kenyatta inner circles believe that it would be easier to manage Odinga as compared to DP William Ruto who might want to overstay in power and maybe spend most of his time settling scores with his enemies.
So plans to make sure Raila Odinga is crowned to the top seat are ongoing and, according to David Murathe, Kenyans must be prepared for it.
Murathe’s sentiments, cannot therefore be ignored since elections in Kenya are always held just for the sake of the constitution but leaders are always handpicked in a room. Raila Odinga has been a victim of this arrangements not once.
