Saturday, March 11, 2023 –A parked truck rammed County Government office in Kakamega today Saturday March 11.
The driver was not in the truck when the incident happened, as those who witnessed the drama saying that the vehicle rolled due to the weight of the goods it was loading.
This incident happened when the lorry which was parked along the Kakamega-Kisumu Road near the Kakamega County headquarters rolled and rammed two vehicles parked near headquarters before crashing into a building housing the governor’s office.
Homenews.co.ke has since learnt that the lorry, with Khetias Supermarket branded marks, was carrying the shop’s goods.
It was not immediately established whether the driver had engaged the handbrake or not.
“Many times you’ll find vehicles are parked in the wrong place and this is the cause of some of these incidents,” a witness from the area said.
Governor’s offices are situated just adjacent to the main Kisumu-Kakamega Highway near the main roundabout.
