A public signature drive has been launched to stop changing NHIF to SHA.
In the latest reports reaching Kenyawide.com desk, this petition seeking to disband the new health scheme and restore the older NHIF, was initiated by a lobby group.
Hannah Nderitu started the petition on Change.org on Sunday aiming to collect signatures for the petition seeking to disband the Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF) and restore the defunct National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF).
The lobby group proposed that restoring NHIF and rectifying its shortcomings is the country’s best bet to secure a health system that will alleviate problems caused by the new scheme.
Kenyans have, therefore, been called upon to volunteer their signatures in order to help win the petition.
