Monday, May 2, 2022 –Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale was left in complete shock after residents told him off over DP Ruto’s politics in their area.
Speaking in a local event last weekend, the outspoken politician who was trying to sell his senatorial as well as Ruto’s presidential ambitions, was immediately stopped from continuing with is speech as women and youth shouted him down.
“Ruto tawe! Ruto tawe! Ruto tawe” meaning (Ruto no! Ruto No! Ruto No!),” the crowd shouted immediately he had started attacking Azimio-One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga for neglecting the region.
Khalwale told the crowd that Raila took all the Handshake billions he had been given by Uhuru to his own Nyanza Region.
“For us who voted for him, we were never rewarded for anything,” Khalwale had claimed.
The unexpected incidence, which happened on Saturday, caught the outspoken ex-senator by surprise as a section of the crowd continued interrupting his address anytime he mentioned Raila in bad light.
The video which Hometube acquired from sources, reveals a very hostile environment for the DP’s UDA Party in Western Region where ODM Party leader Raila Odinga still reigns supreme.
According to sources from Kakamega County, Khalwale is struggling to sell Ruto in Western and, worse more, his decision to run for Senate position leaving the gubernatorial race to the current Senator Cleophas Malala did not settle down well with some of his supporters.
Mr. Khalwale is vying to become Senator of Kakamega following their consensus agreement within their Kenya Kwanza coalition.
