Saturday, June 26, 2021 -Joining Parliament in Kenya may require a Degree but this has not been the case. Most MPs who have vied for this position were cleared under unknown circumstances.

With raging debate over academic qualifications every MP must have starting 2022, it has emerged that vocal names in public rallies do not have necessary papers required to become an MP or an MCA.

Further, Bernard Imran Okoth who was recently elected MP Kibra doesn’t have papers according to sources.

In his defense recently, DP William Ruto asked the Independent Electoral Commission to stop harassing none Degree holders saying it lacked logic.

“Today you don’t need a Degree to be Cabinet Secretary, so why should you force MCAs to reach those standards?” he posed in interview with Sophia Wanuna on KTN.
