Friday, December 1, 2023 –Rogue Pastor Paul Mackenzie has been slapped with a one year jail term over his cultist gospel on unregistered Tv channel.

Malindi Court has sentenced controversial pastor, in a ruling delivered today Friday December 1 by Senior Resident Magistrate Olga Onalo.

The Magistrate who relied on the evidence from the investigators, deemed that the video content, produced in 2019, was not approved by the Kenya Film Classification Board KFCB before being aired.

This sentence was declared in the court which also denied the pastor an option of cash bail, fine and bond as it is always the norm.

Additionally, Magistrate Onalo also slapped the pastor with another six-month jail term for airing the video content on unlicensed television.

“One Paul Mackenzie has been found guilty of being in possession and distributing films which have not been classified and operating a filming studio without a valid filming licence. Prosecution’s Joseph Mwangi proved the case,” last month court declaration read.

The prosecution argued before the court that the controversial Coastal pastor had aired on diverse occasion videos and gospel that was meant to mislead an radicalize underage boys and girls to leave school and join his cult.
