Ministry of Education has picked three types of students who will be allowed to first reopen school before the rest are allowed.
This is happening after increased speculations from members of public who have for long been thrown into complex situation by ever changing and unpredictable Prof George Magoha.
It has been close to six months since Coronavirus landed in the country which then forced the government to suddenly order complete shut down of all schools.
But with good news of the Covid-19 infection curve flattening, the Magoha led ministry has started preparing the country to allow a section of learners to reopen school in phases.
He has indicated plans to allow first three crucial groups of students to go back to school very soon through a letter he forwarded to all university and college leadership.
Details reaching our desk further shows that the three groups will include: final year medicine students, final year pharmacy students and final year dentistry students.
The reasoning behind this arrangement is to allow those doing medical profession to complete school and help in handling heath matters in the country. The move, according to the ministry, will boost human resource in the critical health sector.
Those who will be resuming are therefore expected to have necessary PPEs and to undergo proper training on how to put on protective Covid-19 gears.
It is also expected that covid-19 protocol and guidelines are properly adhered to during this learning period. And last but not least, all Ministry of Health stipulated guidelines should strictly be followed by everyone at school.
